Agririgo joins the Nebius AI Builder Program

Agririgo has been accepted into the Nebius AI Builder Program. It gives us inference capacity on Nebius Token Factory, credit with a set of tooling partners, and access to the engineers who run it all. We want to be precise about what that means, because the useful version of this news is smaller and more concrete than the version a press release would write.

What it changes

Rigo AI, the part of the platform that reads a field photograph and names what is wrong with the crop, runs on a chain of model providers rather than a single one. That design was not an aspiration. It came out of an outage: a provider retired the model every analysis depended on, answered every request with 410 Gone, and the platform broke for eleven days before we understood why. Pinning one model on somebody else's catalogue turned out to be a dependency on a product decision we did not control and were not told about.

Nebius now joins that chain. Concretely, it means when a free tier hits its monthly ceiling or a provider has a bad afternoon, there is another healthy, fast option behind it instead of a forty-five second wait or an error. For somebody standing in a field with a phone, that is the whole difference.

Where the credit sits, and why it is not first in line

The grant is a fixed balance. It falls and it does not refill, unlike the free allowances we already use, which are small but reset every month. So we did not put Nebius at the front of the chain. Serving every routine request from a balance that cannot recover would spend the grant in weeks and buy nothing the free tiers were already giving us for nothing.

Instead it sits after the renewable providers and before the slow one, which makes the credit behave like insurance rather than fuel. It is spent only when it actually rescues a request: the free tier is exhausted, or something is down. In the ordinary case the balance is not touched at all. We would rather this grant last a year and cover the bad days than last a month and cover the ordinary ones.

What it does not change

• Your field photographs are still processed on your own device for the vegetation overlay. That was true yesterday and it is true now.
• Plot boundaries and images are still never stored on our servers without you asking for it.
• The numbers on your farm screens are still arithmetic with published formulas, not figures a model invented. More inference capacity does not change what we let a model compute.
• Rigo Studio still runs free in a browser with no account.

The part we care about most

Open models are the reason this is worth having. Every model in the chain is open weights, served by more than one provider wherever we can manage it. That is not ideology, it is the lesson from the outage: a model one company can retire is one roadmap decision from gone, and a farm record has to outlive that.

Nebius, NVIDIA and Hugging Face supply infrastructure to Agririgo. They are not partners in the platform and do not endorse it. We think saying so plainly is worth more than a logo wall.
