From data to harvest · Lusaka, Zambia
Zambia's agriculture,
understood.
One living platform that unifies the nation's farming knowledge: crops, rainfall, soils, markets and the people behind them. Then it turns that knowledge into decisions.
The problem
A nation that farms
without its own data.
When the 2024 drought destroyed nearly half of Zambia's maize, the information that could have guided response was scattered across PDFs, spreadsheets and filing cabinets, published months after the moment of decision had passed. Farmers replanted blind. Lenders priced risk blind. Researchers started from zero.
Agririgo exists so that never happens again.

Our mission
To help farmers and agricultural businesses make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions that improve productivity, reduce risk and strengthen food security.
Our vision
Within ten years, the agricultural intelligence platform Africa trusts: predictive, affordable, and built at home in Zambia.
Why “Rigo”?
Research. Intelligence. Guidance. Optimisation.
The four pillars behind the name, working as one continuous cycle. Every season the loop runs, the platform gets smarter.
Research
Discovering what works before farmers act: surveys, satellites, soil science, field observation and local knowledge, validated and connected.
Intelligence
Turning that data into foresight: crop performance prediction, early stress detection, yield forecasts and drought risk, quantified honestly.
Guidance
The right decision at the right time: planting windows, irrigation schedules, input rates and weather alerts, in plain language.
Optimisation
Every resource used well: less water, better fertiliser timing, lower cost per tonne, and results fed back into the next season's research.
What we build
See it. Build on it. Act before it happens.
Under the hood
A cloud engine that never stops collecting.
National surveys, meteorological feeds, satellites, our drone fleet and market data stream into one harmonized store. Live sources refresh themselves, weather every 15 minutes, World Bank series daily, each national survey the week it publishes.

Flagship report · the 2023/24 season
The driest season in forty years, recorded, province by province.
982,765 hectares of maize lost. Nine million people affected. In Southern Province, yields fell to 0.06 tonnes per hectare. We compiled the definitive open record so the next drought meets a prepared nation.

Rigo Vision · drone operations
Eyes above every field.
Our fleet flies DJI Agras-class spray drones and Matrice-class mapping aircraft. Worldwide, 400,000 agricultural drones now save water, cut chemicals and do days of work in hours. Every flight we make feeds the engine: imagery in, labelled intelligence out.
Who it serves
Built for the people who feed the nation.
